Established in Felixstowe in 2005 by Amanda Harrold, A&S Recruitment has seen significant growth from its local roots to become a trusted recruitment partner for shipping and logistics industries across the UK and Europe.
At the heart of A&S Recruitment is a passion for helping people achieve their career aspirations and supporting businesses to build resilient teams. Having previously worked in recruitment for over 20 years, Amanda was eager to launch her own consultancy – one that offered a dynamic environment and positive impact for employees, candidates and clients.
Amanda Harrold
Amanda’s expertise lies in sourcing the best candidates for shipping and logistics. She has an extensive knowledge of and impressive reputation in the industry, Felixstowe and the local area. In her spare time, Mandy belongs to the Felixstowe Rowing Club and is a keen walker – rain or shine, you’ll see her on her morning stomp!
Amanda is an excellent people person which gives her the ability to place the perfect candidate into the right job.
Becky Crevald
Becky specialises in sales, training, and management, and as the founder of a successful business consultancy, has advised SMEs and charities on business growth and improvement. Amanda invited Becky to join A&S Recruitment to spearhead the Senior and Specialists Hires desk, using her 30+-year B2B experience to enhance the services we provide to clients. In her spare time, Becky loves long walks with her beautiful black lab.
Becky is a great communicator and connector.
Taegan Johnson
Taegan originally joined A&S Recruitment in 2017 to cover maternity leave on the accounts desk and now manages the Accounts and Compliance departments. She ensures all financial and payroll matters are in order and all candidate compliance and right-to-work checks are completed, as well as providing admin and operations support to ensure day-to-day office needs are met. When not in the office, Taegan enjoys bike rides in the countryside, spotting nature and wildlife along the way.
Taegan is very organised and has a skill for recognising names and faces.
Clare Holmes
Clare manages our Port and Warehousing desk, supplying drivers, forklift drivers and operatives to many well-known clients and The Port of Felixstowe. Clare has many years’ experience in the shipping industry and enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and candidates to ensure everyone achieves their hiring and career goals. Out of the office, you’ll find Clare raving and jamming at any 80’s pop concert she can get tickets for!
Clare is great at staying calm and collected under pressure.
