European Trailer Operator

Location: Felixstowe | Full-time

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established logistics business seeking an experienced European Road Freight Forwarder to join their team.
The Role

You will be responsible for managing European import and export road freight shipments from quotation through to delivery, ensuring high levels of customer service and strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
Manage European Road freight movements (imports & exports, full & part loads)
Plan and oversee trailer movements from collection to delivery
Produce competitive quotations while maintaining margin
Negotiate rates with hauliers and European partners
Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
Provide updates and resolve shipment issues
Maintain accurate documentation and system records
Work closely with internal teams including customs and operations

Requirements
Experience in freight forwarding, transport or logistics
Strong understanding of European road freight operations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
Good commercial awareness
Desirable
Experience with trailer operations
Knowledge of customs/import-export processes
Existing network of hauliers or European partners
